best part

the best part is this one runs just fantastic and the interior is like new but to top it off for a 20 dollar craigs list find you cant beat it

Congrats!!!

Chris,

Best of luck to you on your 'new' KitchenAid. I absolutely LOVE mine, and the fan assisted dry ROCKS! You can even buy those cheap 'throw-away' plastics in the KitchenAid. Cleaning is superior to many others, and, you cannot beat the porcelain tub. Mine was 14 yrs old in January and is still going strong.
Again, nice transition~!

Re: New Kitchen Aid Dishwasher:

Hey! Chris, can you hook-up the new Kitchen Aid Dishwasher in your Garage to check it out for the Leaks?

What are you going to do with it, regardless as to if you do or don't check for the Leaks?

Is the replacement Dishwasher around the same age or older than the other Dishwasher? They both don't look like they could be very old, given the fact that they both have Electronic Touch Control operation.

garage fun

i do test them in the garage first just have to change the inlet valve to one used in a portable machine that way it will take a reg hose. but this one passed the test with flying colors.. im guessin the white one must be at least 12 years old, the one i took out was 10. for what ever reason the one i took out likes to pee every once in a while and i dont know why never did oh well. but ill get rid of it on craigs list ,,,happy washing

first full load

am very impressed super cleaning and this has to be the most quiet machine i have ever used..wish i had changed into this dishwasher years ago

Question for you all

I have the exact machine Gary shows there, mod # KUDS220T1 and it started gurgling thru the kitchen drains when it is washing, still works perfectly, but that sound drives me out of the house. Any ideas where to look to fix it?

southernmdgeguy: You'll need to clean out/replace the check valve in the drain line. It's the turquoise plastic part front-and-center behind the motor panel. The two halves of it unscrew from each other, and there is a rubber flapper inside it. If there is gunk on the seat the flap seals against, clean it off and you should be fine. If the flapper is deformed(curved)or broken off its rubber hinge, you'll need to replace the valve. I've actually never come across one where cleaning fixed it...they've all needed replacing.

Thanks Tom

As she has been making that noise for at least two years, I will just go ahead and get that part first and replace it. I am happy to hear it is nothing major, as I love that machine as far as quiet and cleaning ability.
