Microwave wattage/power

Lee, don't tell this to Friedriksam, otherwise he 'll post on youtube some vids of a microwave with the plate spinning @ 800 rpm *LOL*

Louis, I too have that Norden table in the kitchen

I'm not sure about the Liebherr origin, there was a Liebherr next to this one and they were quite different from eachother. The drawers indeed all have the same temperature.

The 90, 180, 360, 600 and 800 are the settings in Watts for the microwave. There is no turning table, just a turning antenna at the centre of the top of the oven. Besides from a microwave and a convection oven it also has a broiler and a conventional heating system. I love it!

The old fridge had a big bubble on the back, apparently it had swollen up, somehow water must have gotten into the insulation.

The burners on the classic cooktop were difficult to regulate. Six years ago I came across this ATAG cooktop in a thriftstore. It was only 15 Euros (around $20.-). It works great, but the stainless steel is hard to clean.

Aha! Variable watts. DING! DING! DING! DING! Makes perfect sense. Would you believe I have never heard of that here?
AFAIK, variable "heats/speeds" here in a m-wave are achieved by on/off cycling of the magnetron. (Part that generates the m-waves).

Well, Panasonic's Inverter Technology achieves this same result--simply not turning the magnetron off & on. I can tell a significant difference when dealing with lower power settings and great results.

No visible gletscher in this fridge! The bottle of maple syrup was €4.39 I think which makes it a bit more than 6 dollars. I found this A grade syrup in a supermarket in Germany after Eddy brought me a bottle of A grade. Most maple syrups sold in the Netherlands are C grade.

Just one correction about the micro wave. It doesn't have inverter technology, this one cycles on and off too. But most microwaves come with Wattage settings here to make it easier to convert cooking times for instant stuff.

well, well Louis

I'm sorry I saw this thread so late! I just love your new Bosch fridge. We're needing a new fridge too, our old one can't keep up in the heat wave we've had in Vancouver where daytime temp were in the high 30's. Of course I'd love the Stainless Miele, but at $8000 I think we have to compromise for a Samsung or LG.
