Not me!

My first partner was all about the show and outdoing the Jones-es. I got turned off just a weeeeeee-bit! Another friend would steal Christmas lights when he was a poor child and put them in front of his mother's house. Sorry, but not my idea of what Christmas is really about!

BTW, has anyone else noticed that those new LED light sets/strings appear to "strobe" as one moves past them?

Is that picture from this year? I envy you the snow. We keep getting little flurries that disappear immediately.

I wasn't going to do any this year....

but November was mild here and since I am not working, I'll be able to spend all of the Christmas break down in Ogden with hubby. So, I put up some lights around the deck so that we can see them from the hot tub. The house is so far back from the road that no one sees it, so I didn't bother with the front of the house!

Paul,

That is a smart move!
If I was living where my baby brother was living, those lights would not be upside my house.
Didn't have to do it in Brooklyn but now I'm in a community with kids, the lights has to go up! :-((
Con ED hated me, but guess what folks, Orange/ Rockland Con ED getting his money back for me being stingy over the years!
Double :-((

Will they send you a thank you card at least, Larry??
Man, when I was a brat, people used to joke that Hydro-Quebec would send us thank-you notes for all the juice the Christmas lights we used put up would drain!! Not quite the Griswold's, but pretty close! LOL

Larry is that your house in the third picture in ?
If that is so... What a beautiful and very warm looking home.
Paul can I find you lol.

my display is much the same as last year,, about 5 strings of LED multicolor lights draped over the bushes. takes me about 5 minutes to set up and take down LOL but it looks nice in the dark. They use so little power I just leave em on 24/7

I do very traditional...

I do a very traditional look, lighted wreaths on the front, and a candle in each window in the rest of the house. It does not change much from year to year, but I would like to try something new one of these years.

Here is a shot from a year or two ago when we had lots of snow...
