Oven interior colors

Maybe an odd topic, but something that had made me ponder a little. Our 1985 Hotpoint has a light gray oven interior, almost a powder blue. I personally like the dark gray oven interiors a lot of mfrs have used better. For some reason these to me look a lot more modern than that very light gray. Thermador ovens always seemed to have a unique white pattern to the porcelain that doesn't seem to be seen in other brands. I also like the blue color that some new ranges use, was it LG, or Samsung, or maybe others. Older ranges often had a similar white/gray speckle color to the porcelain that again, isn't seen these days, or in a long time. It looks similar to the pattern of a porcelain on steel washing machine tub.

Mother's 1966 Frigidaire had that light blue/gray interior.  Doesn't/didn't Electrolux use a blue interior at one time or am I mixing them up with Samsung?

My Electrolux is a bright blue, really like it.  I've seen more blue and even black interiors as of late.

My KitchenAid dual oven induction range oven interior is a bright, dark blue.

I wonder why the manufacturers did not make an oven that was red or orange on the inside, after all they are "hot" colors.

Kenmores in 58 and 59

Were a very light brown, and Perfection made a solid white oven in the early 50s.

Why not beige or yellow?

Seem like "warm" colors to me...

Oven interiors used to be solid black or very dark blue, sometimes with white speckles.

I recall reading long ago that hospitals and such tend to use blue for the walls. Why? Because it doesn't show blood and other spatters as much as some other colors. Of course red might conceal such stains even better, but it might be going overboard when it comes to cleaning it all off.

Certain Blues are considered "calming"...which is why a lot of correctional institutions as well as hospitals and schools use it.
