Found it!
After searching the entire store and not finding it, I spotted it on a checkout lane endcap, after I bought some other things. Back through the line I went...
I was able to shower Robert with these little presents tonight when I got home from work.
I gotta give P&G credit, they're not perfect, but close. And cute! Too bad they didn't bring back the original scent of Downy. :-/

Yeah, we saw those the other night--they're slotted for the checkstand endcap only, it seems. Cute; the Downy is much more spot-on packaging-wise than the Tide. ("A washday miracle"? Must be transcending merely "America's washday favorite." ;-) )
We uncorked the Downy to take a sniff and see if there was any hope. But, alas, "April Fresh" is still "Zombie Ghastly." You'd be better off pouring it out and pouring the vintage stuff in ;-).
