This quote comes from www.happi.com:

"In home care, Ariel Actilift and Dash Actilift laundry detergents are shipping now to Western European consumers. The Actilift technology is designed to help remove stains and also prevent them from setting in. In the U.S., in the coming months, P&G will roll out the next generation of compact powder laundry detergents."

Could we see a Tide Actilift in the near future?

I wish you the next generation Tide - no matter of powder, liquid or tabs - will perform as well as Dash and Ariel, that are as good as Henkel's german Persil / italian Dixan.

Maybe Procter & Gamble now has a clue of all those people who buy online that overpriced german Persil just to have a decent detergent.
IMHO an american corporate that sells better products abroad than in its motherland is a bit nonsense

My predictions:

My predictions for the new reformulated P&G detergents will be:

1.) More concentrated. They will use less powder than the current Ultra2 formulas, but more than the UK super-compacts of the 90's.

2.) Formulated for both machines. The new detergents will finally work in both HE and standard machines.

3.) And most of all, improved detergent. Tide will get the Actilift formula, Cheer will get better color protection and cleaning, Gain will get longer-lasting freshness and Dreft will be milder and remove more stains.

Thank you for the good news! Compact powders reminds me of when was it, the late 80s maybe, with those little boxes of Tide, Wisk, Fab, etc. that were so low sudsing that I could use them in Karen Kenmore, my combo. I remember that even the scoops that came in the boxes were little. I still have one of the red ones with the WISK logo.
