I'm thinking this is a Brazilian version of a Whirlpool washer, and so the text is in Portuguese, but fairly easy to translate/understand.  But is the washer really blue?  Or did our Webmaster work his magic on yet another vintage advertisement?

I do believe this washer is blue, when you think about it really all washing machine should be blue. It’s a beautiful color for a laundry room.

John, I could understand your line of thinking with the color blue. I’m trying to remember
if I ever saw blue appliances and do not recall seeing any that color, other than the Maytag lineup with the white washers and blue control panels. I thought those looked nice.
Was never fond of the Frigidaire poppy red color, it was unsettling.

To me, regardless of color, the most important was a clean washer and laundry area. Washing clothes in a filthy washer and area made me feel crummy, dirty, in handling the clothes. Thought my clothes deserved better. I hope that makes sense.
I bet as a repair tech you’ve seen some nasty utility rooms!

Whirlpool had Sapphire Blue.  GE Cadet Blue.  Kenmore HE3 and Oasis were available in a blue shade.

Hotpoint had a color called "Seafoam Blue" from 1955 - 1957, which was a light blue. GE had "Cadet Blue", a darker blue gray shade during those same years. Kelvinator had "Lagoon Blue" in the mid to late 50's. Whirlpool had "Edged Sapphire" (which Kenmore called "Shaded Slate") around 1966 - 1968. Frigidaire also had "Biscayne Blue" during that same time. So there have been several blue colors for appliances over the years.

Hear, hear!! And furthermore...

Dishwasher racks should go back to being blue! (or pink, or orange, or turquoise {I'm getting tired of monochromatic dishwashers[ I think we have Miele and Asko to thank for that]}).

I agree with John, all washers should be blue. If not blue, turquoise or an aqua color (similar color really).

Not only are washers beautiful in blue, but cars too like this 1966 Ford LTD.

My favorite color is blue, so of course I'd like a washer that color. However, someone whose favorite color is green or yellow would want one in that color.

The '66 Ford appears to be "Arcadian Blue" as it doesn't seem to be a metallic paint. My grandfather had a '66 Ford Country Sedan that was "Silver Blue" metallic, and there was a problem that year with some of the metallic finishes. The paint would peel off in big sheets, especially on horizontal surfaces (roof, hood, fender tops). He had to have it repainted after a year or so.
