"EASY-LY" an appliance that did not make it to too many laundry rooms in the Mostly Maytag/Whirlpool/GE/Kenmore-preferred world...

Where's the Water Level?--or is it a TIMED FILL?

Would like to discuss more...

Where's the Water Level?--or is it a TIMED FILL?

Reading the advertisement it looks like there is a water saver button that you have to push for a lower water lever for a smaller load. You most likely have to come back at the rinse portion and push the button again, but I could be wrong.

Likely no one came back to push that button again for rinse, so the marketing/ad folks just claimed Fantastic Thorough Rinsing!!!!

Solid tubs were far more common in the 50's and 60's, usually with timed fill, and they were also usually only 8 to 10# machines, so there wasn't often a reason to run a "small" load. This one does list 14#, pretty impressive.

Norge had a "Touch-N-Go" button on some of their solid tubs, same thing. But then the rinse filled to the top. My 74 Sqpeed Queen offers 3 positions for the wash time fill, then the rinse fills to the top regardless. They do claim great rinsing, and they are correct.

Various brands seen on this website had a water level switch in the outer tub, to sense the beginnings of the overflow. Very good for a full wash, but no allowance for a half load.

Back to this Easy----I'd pay the extra water bill if I had this, it's cool. It looks 60's era, near the end for Easy

Nice Looking Machine!!!!!!

It looks like it is Borg-Warner made, look at how nice the drive and mechanics are designed.Appears very heavy duty and well engineered. All you need to top off your wash-day is a velveeta sandwich!

Now THIS would be a DD washer I would like to have-the transmission looks like it could come from a small truck! The rampted agitator!!But alas-the swap shops here have never heard of Easy.If only WP-KN built their DD washers like Easy!
