Hi Anthony. If I remember correctly from when I lived in New York City, it was "Bluette" bluing. Out west we have
"Mrs. Stewarts".

Is sitting on the shelf in the closet in the laundry room...just waiting to see the light of day! Or until which time I need to brighten my whites or until my beard goes completely white at which time a few drops added to the rinse water will make my beard white as snow!

P.S. My grandmother also used Mrs. Stewarts in her 2nd rinse of her rinse tubs that sat next to her maytag wringer!
