paul, my computer is down and i have no way to get to my e mail or internet, i am at work now.

wanted to let you know i got the solonoid and it is perfect! same size as the one on the timer of the custom imperial!

i picked up some kind of virus

or worm or spy thing or trojan horse, whatever!!!!

i'm not that computer savvy, anyway i had no virus protection and it shut down last week. could not get in internet or do anything. i ran my spyware disk called spybot and it finally took and got rid of a lot of junk!

now tonite i can finally get on internet and at my e mail but computer is still running very sluggish!

if i buy a antivirus program like norton will that clean up what is already there?

not necessarily. I hate norton, why pay a monthly subsciption when you can download a program that is free. I use AVG, superantispyware, and comodo CIS. spybot is a good start. Malwarebytes is good too. Be sure to run these in safemode. If that does not work, format and reinstall Windows.

Another Excellent Free Antivirus:

Is Avast! Antivirus. I've used AVG, and it's excellent, but the newest version is not downward-compatible with Windows OS versions prior to XP with Service Pack 2 (I use XP, but I don't want the Service Pack, for reasons I won't go into here, because I don't feel like debating them with anyone). Avast! works with Windows OSs back to Windows 98. Link is below:
