I'm very angry at my landlord/roommate. He's painting the bathroom in an "ocean theme," which means there is blue acrylic paint from one end of the house to the other. Somehow a spot of it ended up on my poly-cotton flares, and it won't come out. I tried hand washing. I ran it through the Kenmore twice--once with Tide and once with Sun. It did no good. Anyone got any paint-removal tips?

Ooops!

Try a little "Ooops". This is paint cleaner-upper stuff that's not harsh and nasty like turpentine. There's a similar brand called "Goof-Off". Find it at hardware stores or Walmart in the paint section.

Try a little automotive brake fluid (the regular ester based stuff, not the silicone or synthetic type). It eats paint, but is not caustic like regular paint remover.

Did you say Poly-cotton? In some circles that would be cause for your membership card to be revoked. LOL.

Flew through Ohio to get to Motreal. (and yes there were literally corn fields around the runways, as a matter-of-fact.)

Someone picked up courtesy phone to have a Mrs. Polly Ester paged.

The four of us jaded, sardonic New Yorkers burst out laughing, loudly. No one else else responded. We were not sure if the elevator takes (that much) time to get to the penthouse elsewhere, or if they were just appalled [and politely silent] that someone would do that.

polyester/cotton blend

I actually like the blends, I find that 100% cotton stuff seems to wear out relatively fast. With the blends you get the best of both materials. I like to spend my money on gadgets, not clothes.

I have no flair for fashion. I have a sister who shops at Target and looks like It's Macys/Bloomingdales.

I hand her money and say GO! I'll watch your kids for the day.
