Parts machine or a keeper?

A few weeks ago, I got a 1961 Frigidaire Filtrator dryer with some missing parts mainly because I wanted it's sprinkler nozzle to fit in my 1965 Filtrator which didn't have it. 

 

The cabinet isn't in very nice shape and it's missing the cover for the condenser door...

 

But today, I connected it and it works. And I like the control panel so much that I'd like to keep it! 

 

Is there anybody who might have replacement parts for it? I think any 1961-64 Frigidaire dryer top would work and the lower panel from any 1961-67 Filtrator should do... 

 

Otherwise, I'll part it out but that's not my first choice! 

 

Now, to find the matching washer for this would be awesome!

Looks like a keeper to me

I don't recall ever having seen a hinged clamshell. 

 

I have to hand it to Frigidaire.  They produced some of the best MCM industrial design.

That was  a 1961-only feature for the Custom Imperial models. The panel looks quite niee in both closed and open positions. I'm wondering why they got rid of that in 1962.

I think it will have to live alone for a few years but at least, it won't be crushed!
