YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rich went through the three rounds of chemo, and, in his words, it wasn't as bad as he had expected. There were up and down times, and he still doesn't have the stamina back, but he made it through.

He had his CT scan last week, and we went yesterday for the official findings. The oncologist was happy with what she saw overall! There were still two nodes that were 1.7cm each but with seminoma, some nodes tend to be fiberous and take longer to shrink. He's set up for another CT in 8 weeks, and that should show further shrinkage. All in all, it was wonderful news!!!

So, yippee again! And, as Rich tells people now, remember to have a feel down there once in a while, and not just for the jollies!

I want to thank all of you who wished me well and sent your positive energy my way as well as those of you who called and sent cards. This meant a GREAT DEAL!!

This was one very scary ordeal but all the support, prayers and the incredible care-giving that I was blessed to receive from Chuck made this a very bearable time.

As I continue to feel better I look forward to participating a bit more with you all on this site.

"It sounds like Rich has a great team of doctors!!" I can't start to tell you of the fantastic care that I got. Chuck and I made several friends at the hospital that we will be seeing socially. I walked in very frightened but that didn't last long. They made me feel like I was part of a team and not some patient number. I am so impressed that I am going to be doing some volunteer work for them.

Again, I want to say thanks and I hope to see some of you at the Massachusetts get-together!

Hey Rich,

Really relieved to know that all is going well, and you're on your way back to a full recovery!

We plan on coming up in July, so count us in! Any of you who haven't been to Rich and Chuck's house, you don't know what you're missing! Be there or be square!
