If you want to curb your cat's shower lapping habit, just keep a bowl of fresh water for him in the bathroom at all times. Cats associate bathrooms with fresh water, and their tendency is not to drink water that is near their food.

I can't imagine putting any of my pets through that kind of trauma. I don't want them to have to "get used to it".

Sometimes I just want to give up on people alltogether. Just plain S T U P I D. I would really like to think that people, in general, are a little smarter than those displayed in the videos, but I'm arriving at the stark realization that most of the population seem to be idiots!....and TRY to PROVE it daily!
