Daniel, I wasn't accusing you personally of doing those things - I was just explaining why it gets so frustrating for some members on here. I don't for minute thing that every single washing machine enthusiast under the age of 18 would behave like that. Just pointing out that I can totally understand the frustration on BOTH sides.

TAKE IT EASY GUYS! No matter how we love washing machines, they are only machines. Humans still more important than them.

Do you really need to feel frustrated and overreact about everything and everyone?

THere are plenty of things that I don't agree (not only here) too, plenty of things that maybe would have bored me if i had paid atention but... Who cares? it's much easier if we simply ignore and move on. Life is too short to waste time having these horible fights about instant messaging or oversudsing or being too young or too old. Come on guys!

If somebody is stupid enough to fill the tub with laundry powder and add 1 glass of whater, who cares? It's not MY machine that will be destroyed. The person got the machine, paid for it, it's his/her machine, he/she can do whatever they want to. it's his/her property, not mine.

Of course, as we're friends, I'd give an advice "you shouldn't do that because it can damage your machine" PERIOD. even dumbs can hear, only smarts can listen, understand and follow the advice.

If somebody comes here and say "i'll crush my super rare washing machine, and you want to save it, it's more than OK to ask. "would you like to sell it to me instead of crushing?" A question isn't ofensive. If you have the money to buy it and the other person wants to sell it, OK! another machine saved! But if he/she stil want's to crush it, there's nothing we can do. It's his/her right over his/her property. We don't have the right and also any motive to take this too serious and start fighting.

Back to the topic....

Bringing them back is impossible for all the reasons said above by many members.

But I got your point. It's not impossible to make an special edition with some of it's design in a modern project, the same way Maytag did with Centennial.

It would be a modern machine, under all the technical norms each country has including the environmental protection bullshit and dumb down water temperatures, but with some traces of this vintage model.

I think it's worth a try. Why not? The "no" we already have, in the worst situation they will say "yes".

Not only those hotpoints, but also any other manufacturer. Who of us wouldn't love a modern version of the Hoover keymatic or the Lady Kenmore (maybe with a cabrio mechanism inside).

Here in the S.A., Whirlpool (Brastemp) created a product family called Brastemp Retrô.
There are 2 door refrigerators, a mini fridge and a stove. I hate post-whirlpool Brastemp products but if they launch a Retrô washer, I'll surely be the first to get it, specially it it looks like the very first Brastemp (aka Lady Kenmore)

In pink or baby blue it would be even better.

Everybody knows it's not a real vintage washer, but it would be very fun.
