Dryers seem to always take the backseat to washers (especially when space is at a premium) but I spotted one today I'm thinking I should go back and bring home. If anyone in the club has this model (and I think someone here does) please post a pic!

It was a Philco, 60's era with glass door and chrome surround. 4 vertical pushbuttons with different colored lenses on the LH side of the controls, a "steering wheel" style knob for the timer advance, and a (missing the knob) control to select a reverse-tumble option. The panel prominently displayed 3-Speed. Can anyone shed a little light?

Mine for the hauling, whaddaythink? -Cory

Sounds like mid-late 60's

It could be a gem, but could be a re-deposit in the scrap heap. They had a rather flimsy fan shroud below the drum that was known for blowing apart if anything other than a tiny ball of lint got past the filter. Jimmy can shed more light on them, he's had several over the years. They are very cool if they're intact and operable.

Yes, that's the one! Or quite similar. The one today was pre-Ford badged and instead had a round insert where the rectangular badge is on this model. I also don't think it was wood-grained. Tough to tell, dark basement and lots of dust!

So Ben, you say go get it, does that mean you'll lend a hand ; )

I must be nuts, who on this board would tell me to let an appliance be scrapped!
