Okay, I keep getting sidetracked and my posts get old and archived. I did get a couple of photos of the Hoover since the back is still off and I had to move it to do some work in the future laundry room. Please ignore the bird seed on the floor under it. Another project. Sigh.

Not sure if I'll do this properly, so here is the link to the photos I uploaded to the site a bit ago:

And I'm attaching one to the post below.

The round belt is a little rough so I haven't tried the machine yet. I keep having visions of the belt snapping and shooting through the room, decapitating my dog or something. Silly, I know. Just how this weird brain of mine works. I may be bold enough to give it a shot this week on my days off. The laundry pile has taken on a life of its own and it would be nice to be able to knock a few pieces off the top of it. LOL

The second machine, a Maytag, is currently holding a pile of stuff that either needs to be sold or donated and it's not on my list of this week's tasks. I'll show off its guts another time.

This is not a terrible looking machine, just make sure that grey drain hose isn't brittle. The "round" belt is supposed to be rough, it's elastic. I would put some warm-hot water in the spinner and move the spinner back and forth to gently free up the pump bearing and work it a little before powering it up the 1st time. 2300 rpm's can be a little rough on a dry pump bearing. These are pretty tough machines.

Thanks for the direction! Will do! I'll have to nuke the water to get it hot enough. My water heater is about half dead and warm is the best I can do right now. (There's a new one waiting in the wings).

I'll let you know how it goes! Got a ton of old towels to toss on the floor...just in case. LOL
