I think the softer colors work much better than the stronger ones. I think the contrast with the other colors shouldn't be too big.

Tim's #CCCCFF, which I think we might have a winner here, I like it. Brighter than the original gray but not pastel like the other forums since Latest and My Posts aren't forums but just different ways of displaying the index. By the way, I want to keep Latest Posts and My Posts pages both the same color.

Stephen's #CCAAEE and Eric you also suggested something similar, I like this probably 2nd best. Although its very close to Vacuumland's Contemporary Forum.

Mike (chesterMike) #99BBCC, this too isn't bad
Matt's #3377AA, too dark. The text is generated from the same code in all the forums so if I want to make just the typeface for My and Latest Posts, it would take changing the code.

I like Stephen's & Eric's suggestion best if light is the way to go.
But loving color, they're all exciting, esp. the striking ones that cause eye arrest ;-D
