Let's start a fun Thread about Great Cars.

I'm going to start with the Oldsmobiles growing up in my life.

The first is the Super 88 "Rocket"

What has inspired me to start this thread was the 1958 Plymouth Wagon.

C'mon Boys... Let's see some Fins and Chrome !!!

I'm going back to 1997

and my 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SE.  What a wonderful car!  GM really got it right with the 3800TPI engine, full size front drive platform and 4SP electronic tranny.  The combination made an awesome ride and the throaty sound of the SS exhaust told you the car had a 3800 engine.  Just the thing to get me to the Minneapolis Airport Marriott to run my Hobart flight dishwasher!

Not a car---but at the site here they are having 3 older transmitters painted "French Racing Blue"!Expect those 65 yr old transmitters to revup and takeoff-will ask if they should have candle apple red racing stripes painted on them-the contractor doing the painting does normally paint cars.He is doing a great job, though.

Daddy had a blue and white 59 Super 88. I loved that cast handle on the trunk. It was like opening a chest freezer or something appliance related. I remember how wide the trunk looked when you were looking out the rear window. The '63 Wildcat had that wide trunk lid also, but no handle.

1976 Chrysler New Yorker

I had a '74 Dodge Monaco, but I love this Chrysler (formerly Imperial). Not to mention the commercial pitch. It truly was the talk of the town!

here's one of my old '58s...

back in the mid 80s we had 2 Olds convertibles, both Dynamic 88s, '56 (White and Rose) and '57 (Gold) and at the time I strated the Blue & Gray Chapter of the OCA.
Also always have loved Chryslers and had this one at around the same time:

also had a '57 300C convert...

but it was a basket case that I sold on to someone who finished it. Here's another shot of Black Beauty, the '58 NYer convertible, had Spruce Green (turquoise) interior and Kelsey Hayes real wire wheels... this car is now in Sweden. Shoulda kept this one.
