Today I found an ad on Kijiji for Miele oven and cooktop with solid hobs. The seller wanted $150 for them. I went this afternoon and had a look. Barely used! He also had a Miele vent hood that he forgot to advertise and threw it in. I offered him $100 for the three pieces, and he agreed. It was removed from a house that he was renovating. He also showed me a Miele dishwasher and asked if I needed a dishwasher. I said no because I just installed a Bosch (4 months ago) The dishwasher said Made in Western Germany, so I fiqure it was too old?

Does anyone have experience with Miele oven/cooktops?

Should I pickup the dishwasher, or is it too old?

Get the dishwasher!!!! Most Miele dishwashers say Made in Germany on them. My LaPerla doesnt but my Premium does. A MIele dishwasher is well made and to me its better built than a Bosch.
I dont have any experience with their cooking appliances but after having a washer and dryer and 2 dishwashers and 2 Miele vacuums they are 2nd to none.

Miele Dishwashers

Aren't like North American machines, they are built to last forever, the parts are available almost indefinitely and Miele does not expect repairs in commercial use the first 15 years. That's commercial use of the household units.
In other words, it ain't old and you have just been offered a slice of heaven - go for it!
My first Miele had to be dropped down stairs by idiot movers to die...it was built in 1978 and was still going strong. Three-phase, 5000Watt heating element, 1800 Watt motor...180 wash cycle, extra sanitizing cycle...I still miss it. My current one is only eight years old, never had a problem, still looks and runs perfectly. No pre-rinsing with either (and I mean *no* pre-rinsing. None. Everything comes out sparkling clean, none of this washing the dishes and scrubbing them before you put them in.
Not to knock the Bosch - they are very good machines and proof you can build good stuff, even today. But this is like comparing a Fleetwood Brougham de Elegance to a Chevy.
You'll love cooking with the Miele, by the way. Does it have the rainbow knobs?
