and Jimmy's friend Jack told me he has the real tool somewhere, but how do I get hold of a good bellows? Rather clueless.

I don't know about a "worm auger" but a "worm-gear clamp" will do the trick!

The bellows are around. Just a few weeks/months ago someone posted a used, but in good condition, water bellows on ebay. I don't think it sold, maybe the seller still has it around?

Love those open water shots off your porch/deck area. That is something you don't get very often here in the midwest.

Yeah, I stressed the bellows by constant over-loading. No pins buckles pens tools nails or frogs in the pockets, just overstuffing. I could kick myself in the Forrest Gump buttocks, but it would feel too good ;'D

How would overloading stress the bellows? Is this unique to the Unimatic or all of the Frigidaire Line?

Naw. Makes no difference. The old bellows likely just split from use/old age.
