hey guys! i finally found out how to remove odors, i have dogs and could never get the wet dog smell out of the towels, even tide powder or liquid did NOT get the odor out after 3 washings, which surprised me! however, i heard from someone to freshen your clothes use pine-sol, so i did and ALL of the odor came out!!! i bought a big bottle at walmart for no more than 3 dollars! that's the power of pine-sol baby LOL

Have used this with success based upon "the club's" recommendations.

Not too fond of its strong lngering smell however.

Pine Sol is good, but.....

I remember my Mom using a product called Pine Jelly that was even better than Pine Sol.
I've looked everywhere for it and can't find it.
I can only assume they stopped making it.

I like to use a cap full of Pine Sol when washing my sheets. Then line dry outside. They smell soooo good!

For bodily fluids (think nighttime potty training) the best thing I've found that gets all the odor out is Bac-Out from Biokleen. About a 5 second squirt into the detergent compartment and a warm/hot wash with Charlie's always does the trick. It also works great on my "dog towels" although having a miniature Schnauzer they usually aren't that bad -- just grimy from the muddy paws.

I've used Pin-Sol in the washer for dog towels and bedding, dish rags that have soured, works great.

Pine-sol

Just remember, it's OIL and kills the effectiveness of detergent. One may want to pre-wash or post-wash with it. Then rinse as normal.

A friend of mine used to use it to disinfect public waahsers and kill suds in front-loaders.

For removing odors there's always good old 20 Mule Team Borax.

Toggleswitch2, I love the brown bottle Lysol. I even like the smell. When my bathroom smells like that, I know it's clean.

Pine-Sol

Good God, I can't stomach the smell of Pine Sol to be honest.
Mule Team Borax works best for me for removing odors associated with dog blankets and such.

Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

As Ule givens used to say...."most parts are edible." I think he was talking about pine trees. I hate the smell of pine on my sheets but it is great for dog kennels.
