They might be able to enjoy it a while at that price. Bob in Hollywood, MD has or had the 30" version of this model in white. It, too, has been cooking for a lot of years.

Hans, Consumer Reports usually highly rated them also. Before self-cleaning ovens were introduced, WH ovens were much better insulated than the ovens in GE ranges.

I love that range, and it is seriously locaed just over the hill from me, a mere 10 minute drive. If it were $150 instead of $1500 I would gladly save it.

--- there will always be "gold diggers" who actualy have no interest in any part of the old appliance they've either gotten from a relative,friend or neighbor who just wanted it out of their site.The only interest they have in it is the cash and they will ask a fortune for whatever it is they're selling.Now,mind you,this is a beautiful range and has some classic designs but,I seriously doubt that they'll sell it for anywhere near that price and anyone who pays that for it is either completely overtaken by it or has more money than God.
