many moons ago, I had the pleasure of using a maytag, with a time fill, not metered, 3 wash temps, and one cycle, I never understood the time fill considering it was not a overflo style, but the normal helical drive with the perforated tub, and an agitator from a wringer, not a powerfin, the water valves didn't work so we had to fill it with hoses manually, but under the time fill, wouldn't there be cause for a flood, for the first fill you could adjust the time, but when it came to rinse it had a full fill every time, you would have to monitor it manually, unless the drain hose was placed at a certain level to let the excess flo out....this was the only one I have ever seen like this....not the best machine, but it worked for what we needed at the time, I also don't recall front access, but a removable panel on the rear...
