Pink Kenmore question

Ok folks, I am sure someone out there knows the answer to this. I've seen pink GEs, pink Frigidaires, even some pink Kenmores from the 50s, thanks mostly to this site. When were the last pink Kenmores offered new? Were they Lady Ks only?

Did turquoise last longer than pink? I don't know if I've ever seen a pink Kenmore from the early 60s, but if they existed, I want to put them on my dream list as my mother said "wouldn't pink be neat to have?!" so I'm now driven to have her come home one day and find a pink set installed and ready in her laundry room.

Hi Gordon, I had a 61 Whirlpool in white,and it listed all the colour options on the right lower area inside the lid. It listed: Pink-Turqoise-Copppertone, and White. It was coded by a letter before or after the model number.(I cannot recall which) on the model # as:
P(00000) T(0000) C(0000) W(00000)

It took me awhile to figure out that the "C" stood for Coppertone. I would think that if WP was painting their machines those colours in 1961, that the models that they were manufacturing for Sears under Kenmore would have been available in the same choices.

Yes turqouise lasted longer than pink

Pink dissappeared aroun 1963-64 Turqouise hung on until 1966-67 and was replaced by avacado green. PAT COFFEY

Odd side note - my 1962 Sears catalog prominently shows the '62 Lady K, but it lists only white. It actually says "porcelain finished top, lid and basket in white".

Anyone got a pink one they want to part with?

re PANK...

I would LOVE to have a TURQUOISE W/P or Lady K washer to complement my PANK dryer ...may have to resort to painting one!?! Our LR is a sunny yellow, the cabs are white and I think it would look really cool...
