I have a PINK Maytag dryer, model DE701W that I would like to find a home for. It is a beautiful and unique dryer. Best of all I am offering the dryer for the low price of FREE! See pics and further descriptions below.

This is an electric ventless water condenser dryer. It needs a cold water hose hooked up to the back and preferably a floor drain nearby for the non-pump drain line. No dryer vent needed for this bad boy!

It has a newly rebuilt timer that is both electronic and timed and the much loved lighted console with separate backlit dial indicator light. It has a chime to let you know when it's done.

MAYTAG WATER DRYER

I am somewhat tempted but already have two MT water dryers so I won't be a pig. This was a rare example of MT building a product that was better than anyone else. These perform very well, they are fast and use only 1/3 gallon of water per minute of operation where as everyone else's  water condensing dryers used 1/2 gallon per minute. This dryer does have a built in drain pump and will easily pump the waste water more than 6' high, in-fact you can let the nice warm waste water fill a top loading washer and this makes using this dryer very thrifty.

I stand corrected...

John- I didn't think there was a pump but that makes sense because not everyone would have had a basement with a floor drain. Thanks for calling this to my attention. The discharge hose port is probably a half inch in diameter at most.

In the Flesh

I've seen it in the flesh, pink that is and it truly in remarkable condition.  It was a sent in a lay over from one country to another and like Sasha stuck in the airport, here sits the pink dryer.  Maybe we should host a Candle Light Dinner to raise shipping monies and then raffle it off so there is a vacuous space in Patrick's garage for more washers and dryers!
