Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

the washer serial number is 203695RN
and the dryer is 640729RN
one thing I found funny is this in front of the model number on the dryer I noticed what appears to be a "F" like soneone scratched it in there on purpose, It's a little ways away from the number and suppose it could just be a scratch from working on it or someting.... I just don't know.

As for the pink fridge...I went and loked at it... it is a G.E. and has a lazy susan style shelves (Aluminum?) in it that screw up and down a shaft in the center with adjustable shelves in the door and 2 built in racks like they are for bottles or something....hmmm...the guy said he'd sell it for $20 but it does not work currently.

Welcome to the vintage appliance crossover. Tell all the folks you know to come see your machines. Even if the wife thinks your nuts, folks will applaude their beauty.

Good Luck.

Actualy Steve, this was mostly the wifes idea since day one..... she hates her brand new front loaders compared to these..ha,ha

Hey Tim,

It appears that both machines were manufactured in September of '59. Those GE fridges are pretty cool, btw.

Its a good thing the wife likes the old stuff, luckly my last g/f didn't mind the washers either. Good luck ~ keep us posted if you need anything.

Thanks so much Ben...that will really be helpful. Now as everyone on here probably knows, I will need the right rear panel glass for the dryer thats for sure and I'm not sure where the tub cover light lens is but would venture to say I should start looking now for a new one. i was also told that if the tranny etc it ok that I should leave well enough alone as the seals and grease are very hard to find?.. what is the general consenses with you all, and if there are any modifications that are sugguested (things everyone before me learned by trial and error?) such as I have now heard twie about converting it to electric??? any particular reasoning for that?
I know it may seem like I'm taking this along way without even having started yet but I want to have time to figure out what is the best approach and pursue that.. such as how new of a tranny could be used and what other models share the same timer.. and I really need to find a way to figure out EXACTLY weather or not I have the correct timer or not?
