Well, I have much of the '63 line anyway. I have the 600 dryer, the 70-series washer and dryer, and the alternate 70-series alphabet washer (the same as in Robert's see-it-wash video), and two 800 LK sets. There is an alternate 800 that I don't have, the 600 washer, and the 400 series and 500 series pairs. I would love to find a 400 set. Being that they had painted tops and lids unless the buyer sprung for the whole porcelain top and cabinet, chances are slim that a nice one has survived.

It's true what they say about PINK. It calms the mental states of even the craziest of the crazies. I look at these and relax.
I did not adjust the lid. I think that is the level, or lack thereof, of use these have seen. Even the lid hinge pads inside the lid are still soft and plyable. I have 80s machine where they are brittle and snap if you try to press on them.

Rooting for the underdog! Love the BOL Hotpoint, not even a filter. These also came in standard capacity, not sure if they were both available at the same time. I saw a number of these one-knob wonders in OPL use.

I think the Hotpoint landed softly, since I have always wanted the BOLiest of the BOLs, I got it, and it looks like a pretty nice one. Not even a filter is right. And yes, I saw these too in both standard and large capacity, but not often. They were like loss leader sales promo things that came and went. I saw more in GE guise than HPs.
I am not sure what will happen when I go to use this machine. The Kenmore collective in my garage (aka laundry suite) will probably send it excessive voltage through the force, and it will be running on hyper speed. I'll be sure to video that...

Guess my coppertone one was a 72 model after all from the picture, same inside and Super Roto Swirl. A neighbor had the same Hotpoint. We figured how to put a crossover wire in so the hot and cold inlets would do the water temperature you wanted at the faucets, not the default temps on the 1 dial. They liked to do cold for everything.

Is it a TOL vs BOL thing? In general, when I look at them. The LK seem more designed, more "pretty". Or am I imagining things?

What's with all the "hidden" control panels? I think I spy some in the background of your shots, as well. Were dials considered VULGAR? Was it a Orthodox kosher thing like burner covers for stoves? I've NEVER seen that before.
