I bought a brand new hoover Platinum carpet cleaner! My mom finally payed off
dads motorcycle, and they sold it as he doesnt ride it so we had some cash to
play with!

Oh my lord!

This is hands down the best thing that has ever come to home carpet cleaners!

This is the most incredible high tech vacuum I have ever used!

Its fantastic!

I have some pictures of me cleaning by the front door.

____
It is NIGHT AND DAY difference. INCREDIBLE! The side that was not cleaned was a
dark brown like color. The cleaned side was the original speckled white! Oh its
beautiful now!

The steam vac is operated different from any other one. It has 2 tanks for clean
stuff. Its got a water tank and a soap tank. It mixes the two to make a perfect
combo.

The vacuum has 2 brush pieces. A power driven brush roll, and the power driven
spin scrubs.

The heater works like a dream and really steams the carpet.

When you go forward with the vacuum it dispenses soap with the button. Pull it
back and it immediately switches to water! Its so easy to use!

It has 4 cycles. 1st is shampoo and rub in, 2nd is the rinse and scrub, and the
last 2 are drying cycles with no trigger.

Best $349 we have ever spent my mom says! We got a free $30 bottle of solution
too!

Pictures later! My phone has a bad port so I will use my actual camera this time

Well

I am disappointed.....

The vacuum was used 5 or so times here. Worked great!

My mom decided to let her boss/friend borrow it. Well she "broke" it.

She called us saying how well it worked, but that shes sorry to say that she will have to buy us a new one. She said it just stopped working after 2 tanks.

Apparently these hoovers have bad fuses, and if a surge/fluctuation or something goes through the cord, it will blow them.

So at least the fix was free. But my god if this is going to happen this often, I will be very disappointed.

Its a great cleaner.... ugh. Why does TTI have to suck at building a nice product that will last. :P

Side note, After school on monday I am going out to a health service corp that has over 40 vacuums for free/sale depending on them. Might try and get some commercial or other high end good vacuums.

I feel your pain. My platinum cleaner died after the 4th use. Motor would turn on but the brushes would not turn.

My repairman had absolutely no idea how to fix it so my warranty was honored and I got a completely new one for free.

I haven't used that one yet but my enthusiasm for this product is gone. Many nice bells and whistles, but also a lot of cheap plastic and I think it is a little too high tech to be practical.

I liked the ease of use. The back and forth motion and it did the different cycles. The old steam vacs seemed harder to utilize. But ours was over 10 years old and failed recently. This one just about 2 weeks old, and failed!

Oh well... :( MIght use it to the end of the warranty, and by then if it breaks again, fix it for free, and never use it again.
