I'm a washer and dryer collector who just acquired a Kitchenaid by Hobart portable dishwasher model KDC-61A, serial 223424734. I would like to know the date of manufacture for this machine. Thanks!

Sounds like a portable Custom model from the mid-'80s 21 series if Hobart made it.

 

Others here may be able to determine the exact year and month of manufacture based on the serial number you provided.

KA Portable DW

Probably early to mid 80s, you can usually find dates on the timer, motor start relay, inlet valve etc. This DW is about the last of KAs portable DWs.
