As a funeral director, please allow me tell you that whatever firm your family uses and with whomever you work, someone will be there to guide you and your family through this bewildering and hurt-filled time. How awful. My dad died the same way...went to bed one night and never woke up. 47 years old.

Please keep us updated when you find out the cause of your Dad's death. I am really sorry you have to deal with this.
I lost my younger brother very suddenly when he was only 21, and I remember walking around in a daze for what seemed like months. Whatever you do, allow yourself to grieve and go through the process. I think you know you can email, or talk to any of us here at AW, as we are here for you.

I lost My Mom
When she was 38,and I was 15, Horrible thing. My thoughts are with you as well as always, everyone else. As my Grandmother said (Her Mother) "It takes a full 4 seasons to accept the death,It takes 2 years to accept the death of your child". She was a Hungarian Woman. I'm superstitious as she was. Much Love to you, Eddie

I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I'm almost the same age as him. Its not easy to lose a parent when there is a illiness, but to have someone die unexpectly is very hard. I lost my Dad when I was about 9 (my parents divorced right after I was born and never had any contact with my brothers or I along with a hardass step-father who has also passed. This is why its so important for a boy to have his father in his life growing up. It sounds like you had a wonderful relationship with your father. My sympathy to you.

The autopsy is back, my father had a brain Aneurysm in his sleep, the reason to why he had this is undetermined. I want to thank everyone for all your thoughts and prayers, i am trying to be as strong as possible but it is hard, my mother on the other hand is a complete and total wreck, i am an only child and losing dad hit home really fast and really hard, i know i will see him again but until then i will have to deal with it best i can.

My understanding is that Saint John the Baptist is the one to deal with regarding deaths related to the head. (He was beheaded, remember?)
