Malcolm, yes, but with those high fins it was about all the faster it could operate effectively. As you know, it was not designed for the narrow tubs of the automatics, but the wider tubs of the conventional washers where it gave beautiful rollover. I tried putting one of the old high fin agitators in my 806 when it still had the original motor pulley but the faster agitating transmission of the new "Washpower" machines and, at the higher number of oscillations per minute, it just balled up and tangled a load so terribly that by the end of a 10 minute wash, the load tripped the OOB switch when it went to spin. The Power Fin not only operated at a higher number of oscillations per minute, but could also work effectively when speeded up by the 50 cycle motor pulley.
