A nice, stylish console from Hotpoint with an eye-catching gold/silver/black/white color scheme. Have always liked waterfall lint filters.

Fabric softener reservoir/dispenser: Boy howdy, you'd have to have a steady hand to pour two weeks' worth of fabric conditioner into that little Pez dispenser-sized trough. Some of today's viscous, super-ultra-mega concentrated softeners would undoubtedly gunk it up pretty quickly.

Yeah, she's hiding something.

Six temp combinations, so that means you could have a cold wash and warm rinse?  Looks as though there is no provision for using a lower water levels as with a "fill select" button on other machines.

I have a repair manual - parts list for this washer IIRC, it used a constant overflow of water for the recirculating filter.

Found some HP doctrine

The early recirculating filter machines used a pressure switch in the outer tub (similar to GE FF washers) that ensured enough water to run the system.  In 68-69, they used an air pressure switch in the outer tub to measure water diverted from the fill flume to achieve water level selections.  The lower end models were of course timed fill only.

There is no mention of an override switch for using a lower water level if desired on these earlier recirc versions like GE and some other solid-tub machines had.
