Always liked the look of these, with the big round control knobs and stainless steel panel & tub. Anyone got any pictures of the dryers? There are very few around, and I'd be interested to see a drum shot.
This flyer shows a model 150 washer, predecessor of the 250 and 350 models. The 150 weighed even more than the later models. I sold one of these models to a member here.
I look for advertising of the dryer and scan it in. Best I can do for these old machines.
My grandmother had a Blackstone 150. When I was little, she'd occasionally "save" a load when I'd come to visit. I could never get over her filling the machine with the electrical cord unplugged.
I also remember her "witches brew" of detergent; bleach (for white loads); bluing and water softener.
Funny thing, I don't remember ever seeing this machine agitate during the rinse cycle; just fill, drain and spin.
