POD 2/17/2018 New Whirlpool MagicMix Mark 12

I can finally read what cycle #9 is--Delicate Colored Lightly Soiled.  Anyone have an underlid shot with the cycle description chart?  What's the difference between 6 Delicate Colored Sheers and #9?  Is #10 Special Woolens and Blankets?  This must be like 1959 or 1960.

My step fathers mother had this washer and the matching dryer. They bought the set when they moved in the new track home they purchased in Richmond, Calif. in 1961, so Bob’s est date on this wash of 59-60 is close. She always used Wisk, and this was when it still came in a can. It had a very distinctive scent to it, what the scent was I have no idea, just canned Wisk I guess, LOL.

My Mom had a 62 MOL Whirlpool, this was the year that the agitator cap changed from rounded edges to more squared off edges. I remember that we used to us a tableware fork to clean the brush on the lint filter.

Both of these Whirlpool’s were very good machines.

Oy, Wisk in a can. That could sudz-lock nearly anything. Good thing for those Seven Rinses. You will need every one of them.

That Tragic-Mix Filter should come with its own special little forks I just used to take a razor blade and slice the bristles off clean at the base. Eliminated that hassle and you could still use it as a dispenser.
Best thing Whirly/ Kenmore ever did was invent the glass balls self-cleaning filtration system.

Overall these were really great machines with lots of features. I really don't like having to choose time and speed independently from each other. I might like a ten minute wash on the Gentile Cycle.
Much prefer a Maytag where a can set the speeds independently of the time.
