This is a rare 24 inch 1981 belt drive machine. Does anyone have one in their collection?

DDFan92 has the direct drive version of that machine. I personally think the belt drives washed and rinsed better than their direct drive successors since there wasn’t a spray rinse on the first spin, at least with the later direct drive washers. Only thing about those belt drives is you have to be careful with detergent dosages or else you’ll end up with a suds lock.

I have a 24" belt-drive 110.81156100, serial C141 but the model appears to be in a Spring 1982 catalog.

I picked up a heavily used one from a St.Vincent DePaul store in Madison, WI around 1998 that looked like this with that panel. It was for a rental property. At that point my experience was with DD's that would have a neutral drain.
This didn't have a neutral drain, just went right into spin drain and I thought it was broken because of that.

Did the belt drives have a neutral drain?

I guess I had an equally, or perhaps more, rare DD with no neutral drain.

They did make 24" belt drives for several years but they weren't the big sellers.

The spin drain 24” direct drive machines were very popular in this area. 24” belt drives were pretty rare and I never saw this particular model in the POD in person.

Glenn you’re going to have to get that kenmore going as any 24” belt drive is pretty rare today.

I haven't run it since I got it in 2010 but it had been serviced to some extent and was running for the fellow who previously had it.  It has been in the garage environment for the duration so has gotten kinda dirty.

Had just read this thread and while in my travels yesterday, spotted a 24" belt drive in an antique store basement.

 

I always liked the 24" WP/KM machines, the matching 24" dryers came and went through the years but were even more rare to see in the wild.  I think I've seen less than a handful, including 2 in a collection some years ago.

I have two 24" BDs: 1977,single valve sink hookup style,GE motor.2nd:1980,dual valve,plastic bi-fold lid,Emerson motor.POLY-V belt doesn't have the "woo-woo" whirr of the notched belt machines,but all other classic BD sounds are there I kinda recall these spin at 710 RPM

It's weird to think that a WP belt-drive is now rare.

I had a "roll-to-the-sink" belt drive portable machine. It did a great job for its size. It also had a very fast spin that should have been shared with its full-size belt drive cousins.
