POD 5-12-2014 - 1-18 sock ad

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

that is an interesting catch Nate......

but this JetCone ad could be right, if you notice back to the Frigidaire/Kenmore commercial, it was compared to Kenmores newest DualAction agitator, yet for the Dual Action test, Kenmore didn't use a 1-18 for the comparison...they only used a Whirlpool clone, Maytag, and a GE Filterflo....

sometimes the proof is in the advertising....

Even spelling or grammatical check software wouldn't have caught that!

No(w) if it had been a Westinghouse or Whirlpool ad, one might have thought they were subliminally directing the reader to add the W.

Regardless, something like that would have sent the boardroom at Sterling Cooper into a major panic.

Eh.......

I'm more than reasonably certain that the "now/no" formulation is deliberate on Frigidaire's part. Great turnover was a hallmark of GM Frigidaire laundry.

Just my dos centavos.

I would have a problem if they truly meant to leave off the W.

The items visible in the tub aren't the same in both shots.  To me, a W would make more sense.

I'll copy in what I posted in Arbilab's post:
"Looks like whoever was in charge of quality control on the printing press that day was too busy looking for his lost sock that was knocked off and sucked under by the washer :P "

And add a funny quote:
"Plaese poorf raed."

I'd be very surprised if using "No you don't" wasn't intentional...

It makes a lot of sense since the two situations pictured are shown side by side on a single page so you see both of them at the very same time!

"Now you don't" would be more appropriate for a video or at least for a two-page ad!

Or how about that:

Now you don't see much!

Or anything!

Can't tell what's in but it does seem to have a great rollover (until it fills more for the overflow):

There used to be a parody ad of the Frigidaire vs Kenmore comparison. The song More More More was used. I haven't been able to find it for a while and I really liked that video. Whenever I hear that song I think of that video.
