That Philco is quite familiar looking to me. It is very similar to most of the models I got used to picking up and working on back in the day. Usually a 4 cycle machine that the water temp and speed depended on the cycle you chose to use. One hot, two warm and one cold cycle if I remember correctly. The water level was adjustable independent of cycle. These machines had the first mechanism and agitator design thru the early 60's. Otasco sold LOTS of these machines along with Leonard and Tempmaster.

I was wondering...

What kind of washer that was? I thought maybe a Westinghouse toploader.

What about the DASH detergent? Did you ever use DASH detergent? And if so, was it a good one to use?

GREAT!

Thank you for answering my question about the DASH detergent Gyrafoam. I have a box of DASH detergent that I bought about a year ago. But I haven't opened it or used it yet. I was wondering if it was a good detergent with good cleaning results. Now I know!

Can't wait to use it. Since it's low-sudsing, I'm thinking I might wait until I get the frigidaire 1-18 home, up & running. I am so anxious to use it but I have to make room or move the 806 outside & alternate between using them.
Decisions decisions...

Dash is a good one to use in a 1-18. My experience with them is they are sensitive to suds-lock if using a sudsy detergent. The up-side is they have a great spray rinse.
If given a choice between All and Dash, I would choose Dash.
