Philco must have made interesting machines at this time, and I imagine this was before the Automagic washers from Philco in the late 50’s and into the early to mid 60’s

What's the story on the Philco "Ball Point Balance"?

Is it just a big rubber isolation coupling donut thing? (Sort of the same bonded construction as automotive engine and transmission mounts?)

What about that gives it the proclaimed benefits...
automatically adjusts speed to suit the load, slow acceleration, etc?

I think it’s main purpose was to eliminate vibrations, but i don’t know for sure though. More than likely had to deal with eliminating vibrations, and making the machine as quiet as possible

Philco aluminum agitator

I believe the agitator in these early Philco top loaders was the same angel wing design you would find in Philco and Dexter wringer washers, including the famous twin tubs.
