The ad tells of a 9 year old Maytag that stopped cold. Does anyone else suppose, given that the machine pictured is a helical drive model, that the old machine was an AMP design and the trouble was with a wire in the lid breaking at a flex point or stiff insulation not letting the water level button move since it only took the service tech a few minutes to have it going again?
