General Electric says "Mix or Match". Has anyone ever seen a kitchen, laundry where the colors were mixed? Would be quite a kitchen.

The only kitchens I've seen where it's "worked" (aethestically) have been where one appliance is a main focus of the room, e.g. a large vintage oven or refrigerator.

White, black and stainless steel can co-exist rather well, but once you start getting into non-neutral colors it's tough to pull off.

Um, there are rumors that it's been done successfully in

But they are not all GE appliances, nor are there GE metal cabinets involved too!!

Fabulous Fifties

Never thought of that. I guess you could have one color appliances and another color cabinets. And people say the 50s were dull. Looking at the color charts for 50s autos is amazing.....pink, coral, mauve, lilac, I was looking at the big 70s luxo coupes on Hemmings and e-bay...Mark 4s and 5s, Toronados etc. Wild colors and velour and shag interiors. Today, auto interiors seem to be a choice of beige, gray or black...yawn.
