Help Support :

MickeyD !

You are never a bother and ask all the questions you want.

Thanks for the compliments!

The pictures in reply 7 are of my '63 Imperial multimatic set.

I should do a separate thread on those as I did quite a tear down on that washer but it runs like a top now.

Here's a pic.

Where have you been hiding this stuff?

Do the thread.

So what's the last dial for--so unusul off on the end like that.

Kelly !

The padded Speed Queen has been moved to a new spot. Good memory!

I just decided it should be all Frigidaire together on that wall and the orphans must be moved to their own area. LOL

Here's the 'before' picture.

John,

Thanks for the compliment. The schematic pasted to the front of the tub is dated '77. The machine is non-shaded and could be what you refer to. I have only seen the word poppy listed in the service info I have but maybe it was called Terra-Cotta in later sales literature?

Hate to be greedy, especially during Lent

but I can't be the only one drooling in anticipation to see the rest of the panel is such close relief.

This machine is a dream. So few of us had these models as kids. So when you're in the mood......

Move over Rosary beads, I'm gonna say "The Dials&#34

I can't believe how perfect and beautiful these Frigidiares are. We could bring them back to America. Open a college and a plant when everybody's retired and free to pursue the dream. Many, many thanks, Patrick. "Ask and you shall receive".... LOL

Did this originally have a 3 ring and you swapped it for a jetcone?

EDIT: PS: The detail here is incredible~ metal 3 D lettering, you really got something for your money back in the 60's.

No Jetcone...

Can't let that question go unanswered.

As Robert can attest (I think I remember that right) he used this agitator in his Super Unimatic because he thought it gave the best washing action in the 12 lb tub.

Lent and Jet Cone?

Don't blaspheme Mickey, thats a perfectly sculpted three ring predecessor to the Jet Cone in the 63/64 models.  Turquoisedude has one in his Deluxe version.  I prefer pre Jet Cone especially during Holy Days.  Say 50 Hail Dials and follow with 10 Our Automatic.

LOL, to my fellow religious fanatic

My mistake. In number two, it looks like the top and the shading of the 3 stage jetaction agi. "Mea maxima culpa." Actually, I prefer the three ring.

And Patrick, I did NOT trick you into giving up the money shot by mistaking the agitator. I really mistook it.

Patrick ...

what a fantastic job they look stunning .

I could set there in a chair and just gaze at the 63 Imperial pair they are by far

the best looking Frigidaire machines to me.

Mike said it the circle spray shot could win a award...I agree very nice man.

Your tub ring looks brand new did you get one or just a very good cleaning ?

I see your detergents low sudsing which do you like the best ...

Asian Tide is not bad...  and Ariel I like.

Hope you get years from them.

Wow - great job on the 1-18 project! I don't blame you for swapping out the earlier panel, I would have done the same. Enjoy your chip free Jet Cone!

UGH - I *heart* your '63 set. I SOOOOOO wish I had that agitator in mine.

Ben

Yes Patrick that is really a great job there. That Poppy Red color is really such a stand out those really will be museum pieces 50+ years from now, or right now depending on how you look at it. These are certainly getting rarer - I haven't seen any up here for quite a while. I can't but help hoping that the matching dryer shows up. Thanks for posting.

As Robert can attest (I think I remember that right) he used this agitator in his Super Unimatic because he thought it gave the best washing action in the 12 lb tub.

Totally Patrick it is the best agitator for the 12lb tub. Great job on the Poppy 1-18!!!
