Hi guys. My KDC60A dishwasher hose keeps popping off the faucet. It'll be good for most of the cycle and then it will come flying off the faucet. The other day I had to hold it on while it was filling just to finish. What is going on? Do I need a new unicouple?

Check the aireator (however it is spelled)

This inexpensive part, which screws onto the faucet, has a ring that the unicouple clips onto. If the ring gets worn away, the unicouple won't stay attached.

Just an easy thought,
Dave

I'm sort of having the same problem. I have problems getting mine to stay when I first hook it up. Once it's on it stays on. The adapter has had lot of use, not just for the dishwasher, but when I had my Whirlpool portable washer was well. The next time I'm at the hardware store, I'm going to get a new adapter.

where to find

know lowes has em, we have em at home depot too, come in two sizes, large or small, all my kitchenaid portables and my frigidaire dish mobile use the large size. about 5 bucks i think.

Connector rebuild kits might still be available. The Maytag portable dishwashers have collar kits for rebuilding the dogs, o-rings, etc,. so I would imagine other brands have them, too.

I found an old aerator under my sink from god knows where? Maybe the previous Kenmore...anyway it fits and seems to be holding up through the main wash. Thanks everyone!
