Need to add a uni-coupler to my washer mostly to extend the existing hoses. Moving it (2 feet/ 60cm) further away from the sink to make room for a portable dishwasher.

Prices are USD $92 to $140 on Repair Clinic dot com. Considering GadgetGary paid $15 for his replacement Danby DW coupler (obtained directly from Danby), I'm not liking these prices.

Any less expensive sources?

oh and what type of adapter is available to connect two threaded fill hoses to each-other. Brass etc, not plastic!

female to female. (HUSH!)

Yeeesh!

Those do seem a bit high. They all look as though they are from the same manufacturer, and they all look like the one to my GE Nautilus dishwasher, so here's a flaky little idea:

Try the manufacturers directly, and just grab one.

Good luck, buddy.

Does your washer already have a unicoupler?

If so, I extended the hoses on my portable dishwasher simply by replacing the existing hoses with longer ones, and re-cycling the old unicoupler. This meant using worm-drive hose clamps instead of the original crimped ferrules, but it doesn't look bad and it works quite nicely.

If the wahser doesn't have a unicoupler already, never mind!
