Posting Videos on YouTube

Hi guys, this is just a thread seeking your opinion on something.
I have recently recieved a negative comment about one of my washing machine videos. The one entitled 'Washing at 50'in my youtube library.
Do you think it is better we post videos in a private video posting way rather than a public one?
This comment has shaken me a little because its the first negative feedback i have had about my love of washing machines. Its certainly made me think again about posting vids on youtube again.

Matt-- I've gotten a few negative comments, too, about my washer video on YouTube. I just delete them. I wouldn't worry about what some jerk has to say.

Matt, you have the ability to delete comments from your videos that you don't like on YouTube. Just delete the comment and ignore it.

I don't get it.

Why is it cool to stare at a TV screen watching OTHER PEOPLE tossing a ball or a puck, or some stupid "reality" show, or gawk at a lava lamp, yet feeling the energy that emanates from an actual, mechanically-based wash process or musing on the random patterns on a soapy window is somehow twisted and bizarre?

Today, some of the same kind of clowns are SHOOTING each other over lines outside Circuit City stores...to buy a computer game..so they can flip it on eBay, just to score that almighty profit!

lmao, my one coworker did just that! He actually took off yesterday and today as well and camped outside the store for the PS3 XD

Anyhow, I've gotten quite a few negative comments on my You Tube account. I just shrug it off and delete it. They're just trolls.

upload any video you want no matter what anyone says give them the middle finger and keep uploading when im bored (like right now) or off from work i will watch any video on youtube im always watching videos there! i came across the "wash-in" there i laughed and enjoyed watching it i never saw any gruop of people having so much fun with something as simple i thought it was refreshing and constructive! so keep uploading videos and do what ever you want no matter what anyone says fuck them!

Matt, I can honestly say that the AW.org community makes up for a decent-sized chunk of YouTubers, and it's really great that we're getting out there and sharing our videos with everyone. All I can say is that the assholes who flame them had better get used to it...I read the comment and could NOT keep from laughing! You can't please everyone, so by all means, piss them off even more!

I also noticed your comment also received a response from another washer fan. They'll probably shut up now.

There's also an option to disable ratings and comments completely, which is what I've done for all of the 4 videos I've posted so far.

I've had about 3 negative comments on my videos, and most of them were from people who signed up like a week before, who want nothing but to start a fight. They don't even have videos! They should have no right to comment on other peoples' videos if they have no videos that others can comment about too! Just delete them and forget about it! Just my 2 cents.

There just plain are some "in-duh-vid-uals" out there who take pleasure in other people's pain.
I watched your video, I liked it.
Maybe you should turn off the comments and only post links to it in fora like ours.
Or try clearer titles, something like "washing at 50" can only refer to whirlpools, can't it? Who would ever think you were refering to a washing machine? ))

I know you mentioned this to me a few days ago, but I was having trouble finding this thread!

Try not worry about others’ negative comments. I say that, but I am pretty sensitive; and, in all truth, I cannot bear to add some videos in case I get negative comments. I just don’t have the stomach (or energy) to deal with things like that because my time on the computer is so restricted due to my health that I don’t want to have to deal with deleting comments.

I really do not know why some make such nasty comments. The problem obviously lies with them – they have a problem.

I would erase the neg comment. So the guy is a jerk, and maybe, as I like to think, jealous that you have something that is so fabulous,he probibly could barely afford the quarters to do his washload, and well, I would not let it get to you.I am sure that everyone else in his trailer park does not like him either.So chin up, I said chin up!! Comments/ratings disabled

I totally disable my comments/ratings. I don't even want to know what people think of my videos. The only comments I get are here and they're positive. Youtube is a very mean place and if you allow comments, you're just asking for it. I took my one video off of Google because you can't disable ratings/comments.

I've been abused enough in real life to have some ahole abuse me online.

There are some that has leaved negative comments to my videos, but i dont really care about that. If they dont like my videos? Fine, dont watch them then.

The thing is that most people are not interrested of washing machines and when they see someone posting such videos they think its weird.

Also, there are probably Trolls around that just say something bad about videos. They do it because they want to anger the person that uploaded the clips.

I have not disabled the ratings/comments on my videos simply because i dont take offense to what they say. I have more important things to deal with.

By all means if you here wanna comment my videos, do so if you want.

Ja, das weiß ich, daß das so ist in Amerika, wir waren ja gerade erst dort! Aber wir haben im Deutschen einen Spruch: Auf einen groben Klotz gehört ein grober Keil! Du verstehst, was ich meine?
Und ich bin Europäer, und Europäer können verdammt hart fluchen. Ganz besonders Engländer, Franzosen, Spanier und Italiener. Smile!
