Has anyone noticed in the majority of the Tide ads from the past, it's usually a male (a kid at that) who's discovered the box of Tide in the washing machine?

Were they in training to join this site when they got older?

Back then, they gave you a whole box. These days, you spend over a grand on a washer and all you get is a single-use pouch that leaks all over the cents-off coupon.

The little boys were more inclined to talk to the truck driver than a little girl would be. First there's the truck with a lift gate and the driver with a hand truck and mom's OK to show the driver the path to where the machine will go. So even if the boy is not all that interested in appliances, he is more likely to be drawn to the action and equipment of the delivery and then be poking around as the new machine is unpacked and installed. Most people would not leave their daughter alone with the delivery man anyway.
