Coming Up On Two Weeks After The Storm

...and there are still a good number of persons without electric power in the NJ/NY affected areas. Methinks pretty soon heads are going to start to roll, well at least in NYS and in particular LIPA and a few other power companies.

Lots of ugly stories about the state-run LIPA and how its board is filled with political hacks. Apparently 16,000 of their 17,000 poles were considered substandard. They budgeted $20 million a year for upgrades but weren't even spending all of it.

Probably are in for some changes after this. Then again considering they are *state* agencies thus connected to Albany maybe not.

It sounds scary but one thinks there will still be persons without power by Thanksgiving.
