The whole thought that makes this funny is not so much the kid selling the cookies and such.
What makes if funny in a sense is the sad fact that most of the US Adult citizens don't have a clue what is going on, and therefore, over many years, we are now in the messy situation we find ourselves in.
This is why they did the interjection with her mother saying; "I don't know where she is gets this from, neither me or my husband are into politics."
Many of us will never see the end to this Mess that has been made in out lifetime. That is a terrible sad fact.
What this is showing, from a comical, non factual side, Is the hope that her generation, at her age, gets their act together, and be prepared for the near future.
It is very true, in so many ways, no matter whom you are voting for.
We are in a very suckey situation, for a long haul.
