Wal-Mart!

Seems we have falling prices around here! lol! These have been on ebay SEVERAL times and he has been adamant (and a bit belligerent) about his price. Saying he will 'not sell them for ANYTHING under $2000!' Well, it seems in fact, he WILL...or at least $10 less.
Too funny! -Laurent

oh lordy.... not again!

Those machines have been listed on ebay at least 4-5 times in recent memory.. I believe the original listing was for $3000. Not only has the seller refused to see reason on the price, they won't even repair the damned things. Two thousand dollars for a broken washing machine and a dryer? Sheesh.

Its sort of amusing to see the seller list these over and over again, like a stone around their neck. I wonder when sense will kick in and they'll let the open market decide how much these are actually worth.

Oh, and if I recall properly, the washer has a rusty tub. Note the lack of a money shot!

There must be

something more than just a posting for a sale. I wonder what a check of this guys bank acoounts would show? This is a classic way of laundering money. I bet he has sold this before -for cash. Don't be surprised to see it back in 3 or 4 months.

lets email him :)

Lets help the poor guy out and give him a moment of clarity by copying all these posts and emailing him. (grin)

A million shots of the dryer and none of the washer--what&#3

This is after all, Automatic Washer. A tease or is he hiding something?

Mistereric may have hit it on the head...

It is very telling that the only closeup of the washer is the model number tag on the back. One can only imagine what the condition of the machine under the lid must be if he won't even show a picture. The outsides aren't even in the best of shape.(note paint splotches and door handle scratch on the dryer alone...)

Would I like to get those? HELL, YES!
Would I lovingly restore them? DAMN STRAIGHT!
Would I pay THAT much for them? NOT A CHANCE!

Someone should email him pictures of the PA900 I posted here not too long ago so he can see what a Pink Maytag SHOULD look like before starting to talk big money. It seems he's trying to find that one sucker who will pay that because he/she just doesn't know any better. Problem is that P.T. Barnum proved that such people DO exist...

What are they really worth? Lets figure it out.....

I paid $300.00 for these and neither worked.
I knew they could be made to be usable for less $$$, but wanted a full restoration.

It adds up..... To less than $1990.00!! Imagine that <:

New belts, hoses, trans seals, bulbs, fill valve seals, electrical cords, converting the dryer to electric, and of course the repainting.

I am thinking that I have about $1100.00 dollars in this fully restored set.

So why purchase a set for $1990.00, when it will need an additional $800.00 worth of restoration work?

In my opinion, this set, which is being relisted over and over again, is worth about $300.00
Which is the same price that I paid for mine..... Unrestored.
