Love these!

I saw these the other day on ebay. Really nice set and I'd love to get them but don't have the money and no gas for the dryer. Well that and the dryer would not fit in the basement doorway either. Too bad. :-( They are beautiful though.

I took a picture of it for a screen saver on my phone.......

It was really easy. i would buy them, I do not have alot of space here in my really, super tiny house( 1000 sq ft) two bedrooms, one bathroom, tiny garage,My washer and dryer are in my bathroom, I am glad that they are small ( 24 in a piece). When I move, I will totally consider it. I will have a basement. If there is room for Ms Pacman, there is room for a vintage washer and dryer. At least the man is not asking 4K for them. He has them on consignment for someone else. They came from the west hills of Portland, Or, which translates to, they were well taken care of. People over there have lots of money.

Hope someone got this set because------

Lefever noticed the dryer is a VERY rare "water condenser" type as displayed in the model number followed by the letter "W".
The little door normally used for gas access is actually where the filter is located.

This used a very small amount of water sprayed onto the circulating fan. The high RPM of the fan blades aspirated the water which condensed the moisture and cooled the hot air in the machine. The water and lint were pumped out of the machine through the drain hose. The same system was used in the Maytag combo and is actually very efficient and thrifty with water - IIRC 1 pint/minute. Most other water condensing dryers were 1/2 gallon per minute.

I emailed the seller when he listed them the first time to see if he would split the set. He replied that he wanted to see if they sell as a set first and would let me know. They have been relisted now so I guess he's hoping someone will bite on the set a second time around. I'll keep in touch with him so we'll hope for the best...
